Update

Sorry we haven't written in a while...life seems to be too busy for blogging.
Here are some updates to our life:
1. I seem to have developed a lactose issue (please pray). Meals without cheese and other dairy just doesn't seem right. I have some a doctor's visit schedule for later this month and they will figure out what kinds of tests they want to run. I did have one small emergency room visit after a particularly bad reaction last week, but blood tests return normal so they gave me some morphin and anti nausea meds and sent me on my way.
2. We reseeded our lawn, which was pretty pathetic. We chose bluegrass which is pet friendly and more heat resistant than the more common fescue variety. We heard it was going to rain for the first part of this week so we hustled out the aeration, fertilization, seed, and top soil this afternoon. Hopefully we'll get more rain and save the water needed during the sprouting process.
3. MacGyver is huge! He had his first examination at the vet and is a perfect weight, now 40 pounds, a far cry from the 19 pounds listed on his chart when we adopted him. With the rapid weight gain he seems to have lost some of his darling wrinkles, but is still incredibly cute.
We started obedience courses at Petco (where the pets go) and he's done well. So far we have learned sit, lay down, leave it, take it, and wait. He catches on quickly and does well in class except today he decided to pee on himself while lying down. I think he had to go and knew it was wrong and just wet himself in front of the whole class. The instructor said she's never seen a dog do that...it was almost like he was trying to sneak it out. We've also been going on lots of hikes. Today we hiked a new trail we found on the Madonna property and we were going to take him to the dog park afterwards, but he disobeyed and bolted through the parking lot after another dog, so he had to put his leash on and to go home.
We've added some new pictures to our MacGyver photo album so you can see how big he is now!
