With all my "Fertile Myrtle" friends popping out kids like it's going out of style and recent friend from work just adopting a newborn, I'm starting to get the baby fever, but I'll get over it for a while. Afterall, we just got married and have too much planned in the next few months, although is having a baby ever that convenient? I suppose if it was logical, no one would ever have kids. :)
Well, I found out that I'm not lactose intolerant! Woo-hoo! It turns out to be acid reflux, he said likely lingering from all that wedding stress and work, so I should get over it if I can manage my stress better. Fortunately, we have the mud run in June to train for...6.1 miles of muddy, hilly, cross country racing at Camp Pendleton in Carlsbad, California. I'm excited...Bryan thinks we're going to die. But we still have a good two months...we'll do fine, although my mom will definitely kick our butts.
Other excitement is that Bryan is done with his doctorate at the end of this month. He has been taking 1 class a semester for the past two years while working full time and it's nearly over...no more homework or class ever again! Two weeks after classes end he is going on a bachelor party cruise with his brother Jay and some other friends/cousins and I am going to Las Vegas for Gioia's bachelorette party. Gioia is in for it!
MacGyver is doing fine and growing like a weed still. He is much more obedient, although he's in his cage right now after tearing around the yard and eating grass instead of coming when called, but other than that he is doing very well. He's good practice for a kid. If I can handle the responsibility of a dog, I can handle at least 15 minutes of responsibility of a kid...we just need to build on that. haha.
